KATHERINE KENDALL, ED.D. 

Climate Educator Resource Teacher (AMS/NOAA), a member of NOAA’s Climate Stewards Educational Project, having served as Co-Regional Leader for 11 of the southern states and territories, and a lesson reviewer for CLEAN, the Climate Literacy & Energy Awareness Network (Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Science (CIRES) at the University of Colorado Boulder).  She was a member of the State of Tennessee’s State Science Standards Steering Committee and a Critical Reviewer for the Next Generation Science Standards. 

Before moving to Tennessee, Katherine served a two year term as President of the Illinois Association of Biology Teachers and was the Business and Industry Liaison for the Illinois Science Teachers Association.  While teaching in Tennessee, she was awarded both Science Educator of the Year (TSTA) and Middle School Teacher of the Year (TAMS).  She has authored numerous science special project lessons and is currently completing her first STEM-themed book for publication.
