Neil Sherman is executive vice president for Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP), also know as LP Building Products. In his role he leads all operations for LP’s Siding business, including specialty sales, marketing and manufacturing.
LP is one of the world’s largest producers of engineered wood products, including Siding, OSB and other specialty building products. Headquartered in Nashville, LP employs nearly 5,000 people in its U.S., Canada and South American sales, marketing and manufacturing operations. It operates 23 manufacturing operations (14 in the U.S., six in Canada, three in South America), producing high-performance building products designed for use in residential, industrial and light commercial construction.
A native of South Africa, Neil joined LP in 1994 and has held a number of positions during his tenure with the company including the director of business development and corporate real estate, vice president of procurement, logistics and supply management and senior vice president of engineered wood products.
He moved to Nashville in 2004 when LP relocated its corporate headquarters from Portland, Ore.
Neil holds a B.S. in Waste and Waste Water Management from Humboldt State University.
