The School for Science and Math at Vanderbilt has helped Urban Green Lab tremendously in targeting the need for sustainable education in Metro Nashville Public Schools. Three bright students, Andriana, Fenan, and Mayra representing Martin Luther King and Hume Fogg Magnet High Schools, have been spread-heading this work. They've contacted teachers across Nashville, created and distributed surveys assessing sustainable education needs, and performed a literature review for us. This information is very useful as we strategize for our Mobile Lab school visits. Our AmeriCorps VISTA Lexie Lipham functioned as their project mentor. They presented their work at our Mobile Laboratory Committee Meeting. Thanks guys, and congratulations on your upcoming high school graduations!
