Nothing says summer fun like the Tomato Art Fest, and Urban Green Lab loves being a part of this colorful event celebrating the most magnificent and robust of our summer fruits. It's great to see a community rally around local food, art, and business, and East Nashville does it right. Despite its celebrity in the Oxford American, Southern Living, and Nashville Scene (voted the "Best Festival" from 2007-2014), this big event still supports the local. We had fun making salsa with our bike blender- which also made delicious smoothies at the Earth Day Fest- and spreading the word about our Indieogogo Campaign. This crowdfunding campaign to raise $15,000 by August 20th for mobile lab operational costs is the biggest focus of our work to date, and we can't reach our goal without your support. If you haven't had a chance to give yet, watch our video and get inspired! Help us bring sustainability education to Nashville schools and hooray for tomatoes!
