Hands On Nashville Day 2015

On Sept. 19, an estimated 1,600 volunteers gathered at 31 Metro Nashville Public Schools throughout Davidson County to enhance the learning environments for Nashville students! From building school gardens to creating vibrant health and wellness-themed murals, volunteers made a tremendous difference! Thank you for creating spaces encouraging students to be happy, healthy, and ready to learn.

Urban Green Lab visited Jere Baxter Middle School to help out with their garden by digging up the weeds and planting some kale, arugula and spinach, and we helped out with painting murals. We are also involved with Jere Baxter Middle by teaching a class there on sustainability! It was a great experience for the students and volunteers because we were able to make school more colorful and inspiring!

Thank you Hands On Nashville, Team Green Adventures, and Jere Baxter Middle School students and faculty who helped out!
