MNPS Food Waste Warriors are Rescuing and Recycling Food

As part of World Wildlife Fund’s Food Waste Warriors program, Urban Green Lab, in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and other community partners and volunteers, is working with three Metro Nashville Public Schools to deliver food waste prevention education, measure student food waste, and implement food rescue and diversion interventions including composting this Spring.

Composting Pilot - Request for Proposals

Urban Green Lab is serving as the organizer of this pilot as well as the implementer of the WWF audit program, and is requesting proposals for both back and front of house composting service for the three schools from March 18, 2019 through May 24, 2019, as well as education and training.
